Forum: election_2004 Subject: What of the Youth of America?

While there are little leagues and various activities for small children there seems to be nothing for older children and young adults. I'm told the christians used to hold dances and mixers, for teens and young adults, in the basements of their churches on Friday nights around Elkton. But, that was long, long ago, oldsters in their 60's and 70's recall these things from there own youth.

While I am no christian and certainly don't encourage the worship of the man Jesus, we do think providing youngsters with social activities is important. Doing so prevents them from becoming involved with wanton, illegal activities and doing are sorts of hurtful, violent things.

We say, we should take matters in hand, create clubs and civic organizations for young men and women that will give them some direction and help them to become better adults and more productive citizens.

I do not like either communinism or fascism because both place too much power in the hands of leaders. Actually, I am sick of Leaders. I would like many speakers with many dissenting.

There's nothing wrong with leaders or with giving those leaders enough power to do their job. But, you had better make sure they are capable leaders who will act for the public good and general welfare of all of our countrymen. NOT to exploit the masses and ride on their backs as if they were asses for the lobbyists who pay them off, not the business interests that own them, not for OPEC or other international business concerns.

Bush is no leader, nor is that rotten, oil-soaked cabal he's gathered around him, they're bandits, thieves, gangsters and mass murderers. The last real leader America had, was probably old Teddy Roosevelt and, that was a long time ago.

A big part of the dilemma is America needs a real leader that will represent the interests of "OUR" country and, get "OUR" country up and running again. So I wouldn't speak so disparagingly of leaders were I you, in the end "GOOD" leadership may be the only thing that saves our country from the dung heap of history.
